The Campbell Outdoor Challenge is hosting the 3rd annual Antelope challenge as part of this years Pro Video Circuit. This year's Challenge is being sponsored by Cabelas. Today all teams met at Cabelas in Rapid City South Dakota to put on several seminars for the store customers. At the end of the seminars we gave away an all expenses paid trophy whitetail hunt courtesy of Campbell Illinois Whitetails and Cabelas!
This evening we had our rules meeting and banquet at the store. Special thanks to Kurt Kaiser, marketing manager of Cabelas and all the staff at the Rapid City store for all the help putting this event on.

Today we all headed from Rapid city 2 and 1/2 hrs to Sheep Mountain Taxidermy in Camp Crook, SD to do team sign in and draw for video/hunting areas. After that we filmed team introductions for the television show and ended up at the Saloon #3 resturaunt for supper in Buffalo. Teams are fired up for the mornings hunt that begins at day break.

Fog and chilly temps accompanied the teams this morning as a cold front pushed through dropping the temps by almost 30 degrees from yesterday! Cam and Samantha Ketchersid of team Lonestar just called in and have the first video success of this event. Congratulations! Several teams are seeing some good antelope but things just haven't come together yet. More updates soon!

Today brought a flood of rain and lightning this morning. Some teams are having problems getting around on the slippery secondary roads while others are trying to stay dry and optimistic. Brad and KaCey from team Xtreme Dream just reported in that they have the 2nd successful filmed antelope hunt submitted. Keep checking back for more.

Congratulations to Jeff Ensor from Non Stop Hunting for submitting the 3rd successfully filmed antelope in this years video challenge. There have been numerous encounters and many teams are just one stalk away from success. This year has been much tougher on our teams as water and food is plentiful so the herds are much more spread out.

Very big change in the weather today, misty, foggy and temperature has been steadily falling all day. Started out this morning at 52 and by 2:00 it has already dropped to 38 degrees. Congratulations to Sam and Cam Ketchersid for submitting a second filmed buck hunt this morning. Only half a day remains, stay tuned.

Congratulations to Sam and Cam Ketchersid for winning this years Antelope Challenge sponsored by Cabelas "Worlds Foremost Outfitter" It was a tough week for all and weather conditions were less than ideal. In the end only 3 teams were successful filming antelope hunts this week with numerous close encounters by most of the other 7 teams. 2nd place went to Jeff Ensor and cameraman Lee of Non-Stop Hunting and in 3rd place were Brad Koiman and KaCey Struckman of team Xtreme Dream. Next the teams are off to our home base and the monster bucks of Campbell Illinois Whitetails! Special thanks to to Cabelas store managers Scott and Jerid for coming to Buffalo presenting the winning teams with their awards. And a big thank you for the Alaskan prize pack and cash award taking first place value to over $5000.00!!!!!
