During the day, we plan to have vendors set up in the center while competing teams from around the USA check in and sign up for the Perry County competition which will take place on area farms provided by private landowners.

For a small entry fee, the public is invited to mingle at the Schergens Center starting around noon on April 22. We are planning on having area vendors who will be showcasing their hunting related products. We will also offer the public the opportunity to acquire autographs from their favorite Campbell's staff as well as participating team members, which participate in the Campbell's circuit around the USA.

Entry to these festivities will also included the public's participation at our opening day banquet, hosted by the Campbell challenge at 6:00 pm CST on April 22nd at the Schergens Center. The Campbell Outdoor Challenge features teams; each team consisting of a hunter and a cameraman, matching their skills in videoing hunts for various wild free ranging game animals. Videoing points are based upon a copyrighted scoring system and awarded based on acquired video increments of footage; hunt audio, video stability and overall quality.

The Campbell Outdoor Challenge can be viewed on the Outdoor Channel. Viewers can tune in each week on Monday Mornings at 5:30 AM EST on the Outdoor Channel to follow their favorite team as they compete in "The Sport of Filming Hunts"

Campbell Outdoors can also be viewed on Fox Midwest on Sunday afternoons at 12 PM CST, beginning January 6th and continuing through June 29th 2008

"Most of the viewers of wildlife hunting shows and videos have no idea how much of a challenge (hence the name of the competition) it is to successfully film a hunt for free-ranging animals in the wild," stated John Campbell, host of the Campbell Outdoor Challenge TV Show. "This competition highlights the skills of the cameramen who help bring the 'outdoors' indoors to millions of viewers."
