8 teams have arrived for the Tac Wear whitetail challenge as they persue filming whitetail deer in SE Illinois. With all the rut activity kicking into high gear, the teams have the best chance for success as any challenge we have had so far. Here's the line up

Team X-Force started things off with a filmed doe hunt but it seems as though the other teams are not wanting to take the chance on filming a doe hunt this early in the game knowing that Mr. Big could be right behind.

Team Hoyt successfully filmed a doe hunt on the 2nd day of the Tac Wear challenge putting added pressure on the other teams. Team Tuscola filmed a buck hunt and had some great footage. Check back for more updates.

Team Tuscola has set the bar with a successful doe hunt this morning. Teams are going to have to get after it in a big way if they want to catch the current leaders.

Team Mississippi had a good morning as they maxed out several of their filming categories on a nice mature doe. Check back later on for the updated leadeboard.

Team Full Throttle had an awesome videoed buck hunt on the fourth day but unfortunately could not gain them points in the challenge as the buck did not meet the 130" minimum. Team Hoyt shot to the top of the leaderboard with a videoed buck hunt on day 5 sending them to the top of the leaderboard. Only half a day left for the remaining teams to make it happen. Here's the current leaderboard.
