Team Running on Empty of Alan Lee, Joey Jelence and Daniel Robertson, after their finish in the 2007 Archery Whitetail Challenge, recently claimed the 2007 Campbell Outdoor Challenge circuit championship in the “Sport of Filming Hunts”. The team finished the 2007 videoing campaign, which consisted of four events held in three different states, with a cumulative point score of 810 to narrowly edge out the Texas based Straight Shooters team of John Franklin and Bill Cheatem. Third place went to the California team, Fitz-Park Bowmen and 4th place went to the Georgia based team Off the Chain of David and Tina Peavey.

The filming Challenge circuit consisted of teams videoing wild hog hunts in Texas, turkey hunts in Texas, bowfishing in Kentucky, and whitetail archery hunts in Illinois. The videoing action will be aired nationally on the Campbell Outdoor Challenge Television Show on the Sportsman Channel, Fox Sports Networks, Comcast Sports Southeast(CSS) and several online broadband networks.

The Campbell Outdoor Challenge features teams, each team consisting of a hunter and a cameraman, matching their skills in videoing hunts for various wild free ranging game animals. Videoing points are based upon a copyrighted scoring system and awarded based on acquired video increments of footage, hunt audio, video stability and overall quality.

"Alan, Joey and Daniel videoed competitively in each of the Challenge events and pulled off the circuit win this week-end.” said John Campbell, host of the popular t.v. show.  “We were extremely optimistic going into the fourth event of the season,” Exclaimed Joey of the Team Running on Empty. “Winning the Circuit championship was the perfect ending to the perfect year.” she concluded. The top three teams in the circuit received over $7000.00 in cash and prizes.

"Most of the viewers of wildlife hunting shows and videos have no idea how much of a challenge (hence the name of the competition) it is to successfully film a hunt for free-ranging animals in the wild," stated John Campbell, host of the Campbell Outdoor Challenge TV Show. "This competition highlights the skills of the cameramen who help bring the 'outdoors' indoors to millions of viewers."
