Fourteen teams matched their skills in filming archery whitetail hunts 10-24 thru 10-30 in the 2007 archery whitetail Challenge. The event, hosted through the Southeastern Illinois based facilities of Campbell Illinois Whitetails, features team competitions in the “Sport of Filming Hunts” and is televised nationally on the Sportsman Channel, Fox Sports Networks, Comcast Sports Southeast(CSS) and several online broadband networks.

This challenge event was the most unpredictable of the season! First place in the challenge went to Team HuntingNet.com of Christine Appleberg and Justin Zarr with a score of 551 points. Second place, with two filmed hunts on the last morning of the challenge went to Team Passin Time of Larry Daniels and Derrick Dale with a score of 538 points, just 13 points from the leaders. And third place went to Team Diamond XT of Jamie Webster and Seth Stevens with a score of 401.

“What an amazing event!!” Exclaimed Jeremy Leu, Marketing Director and one of the Co-Hosts of the popular television show. “We had some of the most action packed and unpredictable competitive videoing action we have ever seen! With so many teams filming big bucks every day of the competition, it could have gone anyway." he concluded.

The Campbell Outdoor Challenge features teams, each team consisting of a hunter and a cameraman, matching their skills in videoing hunts for various wild free ranging game animals. Videoing points are based upon a copyrighted scoring system and awarded based on acquired video increments of footage, hunt audio, video stability and overall quality.

Team Deep Woods of Lanny Lambert and Robert Goff finished fourth with a score of 398 points and Team Pine Ridge, last years champions of Jim Broberg and Brian Bychowski finished fifth with a score of 374 points.

"Most of the viewers of wildlife hunting shows and videos have no idea how much of a challenge (hence the name of the competition) it is to successfully film a hunt for free-ranging animals in the wild," stated John Campbell, host of the Campbell Outdoor Challenge TV Show. "This competition highlights the skills of the cameramen who help bring the 'outdoors' indoors to millions of viewers."
