The results are in for the 2005 Sportsman Channel Awards held at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, February 10, 2006. The Campbell Outdoor Challenge is proud to announce that it was awarded Best Small Budget Commercial for the Canon GL2 camera 30 second commercial last week during the SHOT Show. This commercial was produced by Aaron Coston, editor for the Campbell Outdoor Challenge and narrated by Greg Brown of Brown’s Feed and Chemical. The Sportsman Channel is the first and only television network dedicated exclusively to hunting and fishing programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week. TSC is in 11.6 million broadcast and cable households at the present time.

The Campbell Outdoor Challenge television show was one of three nominees selected to receive an award in the following four categories: Best Show Open, Best Graphics, Best Original Music and Best Small Budget Commercial. This is quite an honor as there were nearly 75 television shows competing for these various nominations and awards. Award finalists are selected by TSC staff thrugh a bounty of nominees for eachof the 20 categories. A panel of qualified reviewers views each submission and votes.

“The Campbell Outdoor Challenge should feel very proud of their award,” stated President/CEO of TSC, C. Michael Cooley. “The entire crew produces some outstanding footage with their travels, and it’s not an easy task keeping up with running competitors as they try to catch the big game.”

“ I am very pleased that we received the award for Best Small Budget Commercial, it proves that our editor, Aaron Coston, is very talented in this industry. It was an honor to be nominated in these four separate categories, but an even greater honor to bring home an award. However, I was very surprised that we didn’t win the category for Best Original Music. I truly felt that the music produced by Ronnie P. Kingery of Seedhouse Music, BMI, and Scott Kittinger of Kittinger Music was very unique. White County has a lot to be proud of as it took several talented people from our community to make this all possible,” noted John Campbell, host of the Campbell Outdoor Challenge.

The Campbell Outdoor Challenge can be seen on TSC on Mondays at 7 p.m., Thursdays at noon and Saturdays at 2 a.m., and on the Men’s Channel Sundays at 9 p.m., Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and Wednesdays at 5 p.m. The show airs locally on WFIE 14 (Evansville) on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:30 a.m., and WSIL TV 3 (Carterville) on Saturdays at 6:30 a.m.
