It all comes down to this week, the main event. All circuit teams have worked hard to get to this point and with such a close race for the championship it is up for grabs by almost anyone. Of course this is the event that we give away the Dodge Ram 4x4 and a ton of other prizes. Teams did a lottery draw for hunt areas, checked in and had the rules meeting. The buck activity is really ramping up right now and teams are very anxious to get out into the woods.

So far the activity has been high and several good deer seen but after the first day no filmed buck hunts were submitted for score.

Team North & South ready for action
Well it has been an un eventful couple days as the full moon seems to be affecting the deer activity. Several teams have seen bucks but not really what they are looking for. With the whitetail challenge this year teams were only allowed to film buck hunts in the first 2 1/2 days. Today all teams were shown their secondary spots and now they are allowed to film doe hunts as well. Still 2 1/2 days remain for teams to make it happen.
On another note David Cain from Ol Man Treestands was here hunting with us and got himself a nice Southern Illinois Trophy 10 pointer, way to go David!!

Today was an awesome day for BIG BUCK activity. Many B&C bucks were filmed with several missed opportunities. Team Reign Broadheads had a fantastic videoed miss on a 170 inch bruiser. Many other teams filmed giant bucks today but nobody was successful submitting a filmed buck hunt for score. Three teams turned in some great filmed doe hunts, 2 of them tipped the scales at 160 lbs! 1 1/2 days left and the rut is kicking into gear so lots can change. Congratulations to Team Lonestar, Lancaster Archery, and American Bowhunters for submitting the first video success of this event.

Thrill of the Hunt Productions submitted a filmed doe hunt and all other teams are still out. Only one evening hunt and one morning hunt remains before we determine our circuit champions for the year. Here are the current standings for this event as well as the circuit.

We have had a lot of action as the 2009 Campbell Outdoor Challenge Circuit draws to an end. Congratulations to Team Reign Broadheads and Team Roscoby for submitting their filmed Buck Hunts today. Team Roscoby submitted a filmed Doe hunt this morning as well. Team Almost Heaven also submitted a filmed Doe hunt.
More pictures to follow.
Just received word that Team Lancaster has tracked and recovered their Buck just in time for the 2:00PM Deadline! (1:47pm)
Sorry for the delayed update as it was one of the most active half days in our whitetail championship ever! Video submissions for 3 Bucks and 2 does came in on the last half day of the challenge. We had our circuit party last night and announced the winners for this event as well as the circuit champions!
Going into this event only about 150 points seperated 1st place thru 6th place so it was extremely close from the start. We would have never guessed just how close the circuit championship spot would actually be!!
Congratulations to Team Lancaster Archery for winning the Whitetail championship!! And also for taking 2nd place in the overall circuit, missing the Circuit championship by only 2 points!!!
Your 2009 Circuit Champions after the four events, Hog, Turkey, Antelope and Whitetail 14 days in the field per team is Team Roscoby....Congratulations.
Be sure to catch all the new circuit action Wednesdays 12noon CST on Versus all new shows starting in December!
